These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by The Event Department LA (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including photobooth rentals, event activations, custom backdrops, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By booking or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use or book our Services.
1. Booking & Payment
1.1 Reservation & Deposit
To secure your event date, a non-refundable deposit or retainer is required. Your booking is not confirmed until we provide written confirmation.
1.2 Final Payment
The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule in your invoice or contract. Late payments may result in cancellation of Services and forfeiture of the deposit.
1.3 Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payments via credit card, bank transfer, or other approved methods listed in your invoice. Payment processing fees may apply.
2. Services & Responsibilities
2.1 Service Scope
We provide the photobooth Services selected in your booking. Packages may include attendants, props, backdrops, prints, LED booths, and digital delivery.
2.2 Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing:
Adequate space and safe conditions for booth setup
Access to a power source if required
Coordination with venue staff as needed
2.3 Booth Attendants
Premium and Ultimate packages include professional attendants dressed in specified attire (black or white button-down shirts). Standard package attendants wear casual attire.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
3.1 Cancellation by Client
Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations within [X] days of the event may require full payment.
3.2 Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule are subject to availability. Paid deposits may be applied to the new date if confirmed in writing.
3.3 Cancellation by Company
We may cancel due to safety concerns, weather, venue restrictions, or breach of these Terms. In such cases, we may refund payments at our discretion.
4. Event Conduct & Safety
4.1 Safe Environment
You agree to ensure a safe environment for our staff and equipment. We may refuse or cease services if conditions are unsafe.
4.2 Guest Behavior
Inappropriate behavior by guests may result in early termination of Services without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All media, designs, and proprietary content produced by the Company remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients receive personal use rights for event media only.
6. Liability & Limitation of Liability
6.1 Equipment Use
Equipment must be used for intended purposes only. Damage caused by misuse may incur additional charges.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for Services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
6.3 Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, power outages, or government actions.
7. Privacy & Media
We follow the practices outlined in our Privacy Policy, including the collection and use of personal information and event media. Clients grant permission to use event media for promotional purposes only with consent.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts in Los Angeles County.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when posted on our website. Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
